We will work together to make our own content calendar for social media along with smart automations to schedule the posts automatically and directly on your social media channels. Ready for some magic? 😎 Today's exercise guides us on how to create our own content calendar by first preparing the structure in Airtable then customizing the database to fit our requirements and finally powering it up with automations to automatically publish the content of social media channels.

Use Case To stay in touch with your audience and boost your growth, you need to pay serious attention to your social media channels in terms of planning the content, scheduling the posts, and interacting with your audience. And to be able to manage all these things in a consistent and structured manner you can use a content calendar with automations to publish it automatically.

Steps 1. Create a new database on Airtable and give it your own look of colour, name, and icon. EX5_CCC_1.gif 1. Create your own columns according to the content you want and in this exercise, we have used the following; 2. ''Post text'' section. Change the name by double-clicking on the column name. Change the type of data in the column through the ‘’Customized field type’’. And here choose a short text. 3. ''Platform'': choose multiple choice And write the platforms that fit our project and post on them, and let's be here. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Quora 4. ''Topic'': determine the post type and choose multiple-choice: Educational, Cultural, Q&A... 5. ''Image'': for the photo of the post and choose the type of column data as ‘’Attachment’’. Then insert the attachment by clicking the sign ''+'' or by drawing and inserting it from your computer to your specific box. 6. ''Date'': to determine the publishing date and choose the type of column data as ‘’Date’’. 7. ''Hashtags'': multiple-choice. 8. ‘’Status”: single choice’. Add options like: in progress, ready to publish,... EX5_CCC_7.gif 9. “Published'': as a check box. It will read ''Yes'' when the post is published. 10. “Published link” List the post link after publication. And select it from the URL type. Go to “Automation” and click on “Create a custom automation” then set the trigger “When a record matches conditions - Configure it by setting “Table” and “Conditions” (When published is ticked). 1. For instance, set the action “Facebook pages: Create a new post” then connect your page - In the message field, set the data you want to appear in the FB post (texts or links). - Add the attachments you want (Images or Videos) EX5_CCC_11.gif Finally, don’t forget to turn on the automation after you test it. 😃 You can now manage your presence on social media, no matter how small or large your work is. You'll now control everything through the content calendar you've prepared. There is no longer any reason to delay scheduling your social media posts.
